Save for a few key places, the Clark Street stretch from Belmont to Diversy has little to offer, food wise. In fact, it’s not until you cross Diversy and enter the magical land known as Lincoln Park that everything changes. Restaurants suddenly exist every two feet, dogs suddenly wear sweaters and turtlenecks, and I’ve suddenly found myself back at the same old place: Frances’s Deli.
Human beings who are cursed, loud talked and disrespected by male and female staff. Not all staff, but enough. This represents those who are in charge, no fear of reprehension or being written up in a complaint.
When trying to lose weight, the best thing you can do is to consume fewer calories and get more exercise. Eating less will help you reduce calories and moving more will help to kick up your metabolism.
As a local, I see Design-A-Tee as the perfect place to bring visitors. My nephew just went home after spending a few days with us (mostly theme parking with his uncle). He had a hard time choosing a souvenir shirt. How cool would it have been to take him to Downtown Disney, turn him loose, and let him create his own? And of course visiting that area is the perfect reason to combine your stop with lunch at the Earl of kids cooking…but that’s another whole trip report on its own.
Stay away from fast food restaurants as much as you can. They are cheap alternatives for Egg bread sandwich eating out but most of their food comes with significant negative effects. They are usually packed with calories, sodium and fat enough for the day or longer. Choose items approved by the American Heart Association as they are healthier than others.
There will be a new population, those being discharged from the Military that will mix in with all the other Veterans who are homeless, forsaken and abandoned.
The great thing about the Monk-Life Challenge is that you don’t absolutely have to stick to it. Practicing some of the tips even once a week can lead to a happier life. If you find the whole process overwhelming, pick just a few tips and practice them intermittently throughout daily life and slowly begin to add more. After just a few weeks, you’ll notice the difference.
