So we’ve been watching the iPhone App store closely of course – 10,000 apps 300 million downloads and counting. We’ve been wondering what the evolution would be, and in a sense it is turning into a subset of the mobile apps space as a whole. Discovery costs.
Call to Action – A mobile website has numerous “call to action buttons” for the user to easily contact you or remember information about your business. Some of the more popular buttons are Call Now, Email Now, Save information to GPS, Find Us, and Make an picsart apk. An app also can have some very good Call to Action functions, but are usually limited to Call Us or Email Us.
If you own a smartphone and have downloaded any apps, you may have come across one or more which use in-app branding and possibly in-app advertising. A lot of people are willing to put up with the occasional ad from an advertiser in trade for some cool free app or game. This is the first of the five methods I’d like to present for monetizing your own Mobile apps.
If you have your own app being published (or already published, since you can always add more to it in an update), consider using AdMob or another ad aggregating service. Since AdMob is part of the Google family of businesses, many people may already have a relationship with them without even knowing it. Nonetheless, choose one of these and use their SDK tools (this is a job for your developer) and get your Publisher credentials added appropriately to the app. Before you know it, a mini billboard will appear on the screen for your app and you will be on your way to making extra cash. This method is extremely useful for those of you who have created a free app that is downloaded frequently. It’s as simple as: The more users, the more exposure to the ad, and the more potential revenue for you.
The act of downloading an application couldn’t get easier. You just click on the download button and the App Store will ask you for your Apple ID, which is the same one you use in iTunes. If you don’t have one you can make one within the app itself. This ID is required even if you want to download free apps. Once everything is done and you press download, you will see the app icon just jump out of the App Store window and go to your dock. There you will see a download bar on it and once it finishes downloading it will bounce once to alert you. One thing we noticed is that apps downloaded from the Store will go straight to the dock, whether or not you want them there and you will have to manually remove them later.
There’s no question that it helps to be Internet savvy and have deep pockets, but the winning app developers were an encouraging mix of sizes and types.
After finishing the first three app development steps you are on your last step. You will have to make sure that your finished project is in xCode, which is the program the Apple App Store uses to build apps. You will need to get an iTunes developer account, which costs around $99 a year. You will give the following information about your app like the description, price, icons, and etc. After submitting you can check your analytics on how many downloads you have and how much money you are making. If you make an app that everybody likes, it will become viral and can make you a lot of cash!!!
